Early in the year, The Museum of Dufferin put out a notice asking for local crafters to knit or crochet poppies for their Remembrance Day installation.  Our group made a number of them and prior to donating them to the museum I sewed them onto a blanket for the picture with Teddy.

What a great night at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair this year. We loved seeing the final round of the Mad Barn Indoor Eventing, the heavy horses (the all mare teams & even an appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales!), the Royal Shetland Pony Racing, and the final round of the HEP (Henry Equestrian Insurance) Canadian Show Jumping Championship.

For 2025, we decided to hold our annual Tuff Clothing Sale in October and have it over 2 days, offering over 2500 pieces of clothing, footwear, handbags and accessories for all seasons.

We were thrilled to have Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey, visit the farm recently to find out more about what it is we do as well as talk about the grant Tuff received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).

The first Ram Rodeo date is coming up (THIS WEEKEND - Grey Highlands - May 24-25) and our annual 50/50 Raffle has now opened up! Tickets are now available here and don’t forget, winner takes half of the final pot

Let’s Talk Mental Health! We take every opportunity to bring awareness to youth mental health and the need to support it. Tuff Therapeutic Riding Foundation stands to serve youth who are struggling with mental health issues and addictions. Youth from marginalized groups including 2SLGBTQI+ community, youth in the criminal justice system, black and indigenous youth and those who have been victims of sex trafficking.

Each year, the excitement builds as we approach the first Ram Rodeo date of the season. Ross Millar and his team at the Ram Rodeo are huge supporters of Tuff and are behind much of the success of our annual 50/50 draw. Last year, we saw a payout of nearly $5,000 (TBC) to the lucky winner and equally, an incredible donation to our therapeutic program. 

We were so thankful to receive a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (The Resilient Communities Fund) in 2024. 

Last week we were joined by Lisa Malcolm, representing the Barrie-Huronia Rotary Club to receive a donation to the Tuff Therapeutic
